ช่วงหัวค่ำที่ผ่านมา มีการประกาศรายชื่อผู้ได้เข้าชิงรางวัลออสการ์ครั้งที่ 87 ประจำปี 2015
ผลปรากฏว่าหนังที่ได้เข้าชิงรางวัลมากที่สุด 9 สาชา มีอยู่สองเรื่อง คือ Birdman และ The Grand Budapest Hotel
ส่วนภาพยนตร์ที่ได้เข้าชิงมากสาขาในลำดับรองๆ ลงไป ก็ได้แก่ The Imitation Game (8 สาขา) และ Boyhood กับ American Sniper ที่ได้เข้าชิงเรื่องละ 6 สาขา
